(North Canton, OH – Sept. 25, 2009) – Stark State College is offering green/renewable energy classes beginning with a Building Analyst Training class scheduled November 2-6 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Course fee is $1600, which includes the certification exam at the conclusion of the course. The continuing education program is offered in conjunction with The Building Performance Institute (BPI) and CleanEdison, a national green building consulting and education provider offering energy audit training through two-year colleges nationwide.
Students will learn the “house-as-a-system” approach to contracting and home assessment and will be able to identify the causes and solutions for issues such as energy efficiency, air quality, safety and durability.
